increased heart rate especially when standing?

my avg resting heart rate is normally around 54 today it is 68(laying down) when i sit up it is 72 and from there simply standing up makes it increase to 138. I’m 18 years old and a college cheerleader(so I exercise for at least a few hours everyday) I can feel my heart racing every time i get out of bed, also when i get up i start shaking and feel very weak and nauseas. I know i’m okay and just need a few days to recover from being sick so much and pushing my self so hard lately because i saw a Dr this morning, they told me to stay on the couch and drink Gatorade(to replenish electrolytes) and to just watch movies for the next 3 or so days… i’m getting extremely bored. is there anything else i can do to speed up this process?
my blood pressure is normal to low(always) and does not change with my heart rate so it has nothing to do with my blood pressure(my dr told me so) and no i have not been sick to my stomach either, i have had strep 3 times in 3 months and bronchitis(plus i have asthma) I’m not trying to complain i just want off of this couch soo bad. Also my dr. told me not to drink plain water and that i needed Gatorade for the electrolytes

What do you have to live for, if not to take time and learn?
In a fire so confusing only the good ones will get burned.
Is it justice or karma, often it’s too hard to know.
Complex emotions that are difficult to show.

Never was I sure about anything in my life.
Only that there is one wrong and one right.
Wanting to do what I know that I should.
Heart pulls me the other way and my mind brings me to good.

Romeo and Juliet are so unrealistic.
Caught up in a story that never matches real-life statistics.
In the eyes of the angel you can see it all.
My heart is a devil and the sin is growing strong/.
Everyday I lose a grasp on my mind.
I know what I’m doing, there’s no way that I’m blind.
Headfirst deep into our own Shakespearean lines.
This time though, daddy’s right and these are different times.

Who am I to stop the man, father knows best.
After all, because of him, it beats in my chest.
Hearts are muscles and each minute mine grows weaker.
Rosy red complexion just means I’m getting meeker.

Ok, if you have followed my other questions, you will see that I have suffered from disordered eating. NO I am not underweight! But, YES I am very unhealthy! And today was a time to change! I have been watching UndergroundWellness on Youtube, and I DO believe that low-carb diets are a healthy way to go! So, what do I eat? I need to eat lots of proteins! Since, now, I am going to really hit the exercise! I’m going to get in shape! I feel so empowered! And I’m sick of starving myself! I’m sick of feeling sick! So:
- ONE What foods (low-carbs) should I eat?
- Are smoothies that healthy? (I drink them for fruit! And they do seem to have a lot of carbs!)
- Good Carbs! Bad Carbs???
- What should I eat for protein (I seem to do better with proteins, so what metabolic rate is that?)
- Metabolic rates?

Yes, I don’t know to much about foods. When I starved myself, I thought mostly of fats and calories! So, please HELP!

So, I think my metabolism is MESSED up, what can I do to start boosting it, or have I just ruined it?

AND, what type of exercise should I get. I know you need CARDIO CARDIO CARDIO, because it’s heart healthy, and burns fat. BUT, I heard that if you DON’T weight train, and you fall out of you cardio workout for a bit, you can find your metabolism slowing down, and packing on the pounds! So, what type of strength training should I do. How much weight?

(Just ice, 2 oz of 100% juice, non-fat yogurt, and strawberries)

Exercise:

walked 2 miles at incline (When it was 90 degrees out)
Rode my bike to miles
And I lifted some weights, crunches, lunges, and what not!

Sorry this is so long! BTW I am 5′3” and 13 years old. So please help me, help myself, get help, and get healthier ;)

i just need help with time management my main goals in a day are to read namaz (which i currently don’t do atm due to laziness but i am hoping to change that so any tips on that would be much appreciated) to study because i am still in high school and would like to broaden my intellect, to exercise because i would like to lose weight at a slow rate because i want it to be a lifestyle change (so any tips on how to be healthy is great again also appreciated), i would also like to spend time with my family and friends) i have a VERY BAD habit of watching TV alot (so any tips on breaking that habit would be great and again appreciated) and also atleast once a week i would like to fit in my passion for fashion and cooking and just having a laff as well as having a bad habit for tv i hav a VERY BAD habit of watching comedy on the internet and i would also like to fit in taking care of yourself such as showers, pampering and so on and any hijab tips from sisters is much appreciated but i am planning on working from inside out so from the soul to the heart to the brain to the body and any manners that muslims think are good please do list but in general i would like to lead a much healthy, simple and focused life really more focused on jannah and things like that if you get me if any one could help me by giving me a sort of rough schedule also another thing i have a very bad habit of swearing i mean like seriously i dont know how to stop i really badly need help and i dont want anyone suggesting therapists or anything like also can anyone give me tips on how to strengthen your iman also focus on life and religion because islam is a way of life and i want to live it like that but also be able to stand with modern society and so on

hey, jus a quick update. i jus finished up wk six which was awesome. i’m still getting questions about my heart rate monitor, it’s a Sportline, from Walmart, it cost me like , I love it. Also getting lots of questions about running.

Ok here is the hypothetical situation: Our principle is worried about the students and their risk of obesity in our school, so he is thinking about requiring students to do physical fitness tests every year (I know we have to do presidential tests already, but as i said this is hypothetical!) However, he is unsure of weather he should do it or not. We are supposed to persuade him to do it or not to do it. I took the side of making him do it. In the opening paragraph, we are supposed to make him feel emotion. In this case, it is guilty. I am 13 so go easy on me. WARNING: It is long =]

Dear Principal (insert name here)

Everyday, many parents find out that their children are at risk of becoming obese, and the same could happen to the students of (insert school name here) What can I do about this issue, you ask? You need to require each student to participate in a physical fitness test. By doing this, you can lower the rate of obesity. You can also help teens get their aggression out in a good way and help parents save money. Did you know that the possibility of obesity in (insert school name here) is very high, and it is up to you to stop it? Being overweight could affect much more then physical appearance, you know. It is up to you to protect these kids from becoming obese. It is up to you weather or not students suffer various health conditions. Would you like students to suffer health conditions later in life?
One major reason we should have these physical fitness tests is because obesity is a huge issue. It can cause many problems such as diabetes and heart disease. Being overweight can also affect a person’s joints, breathing, sleep, mood, energy levels, and various other health concerns. So, being obese could impact a person’s entire quality of life (1). However, when teens start a daily exercise routine, they will be surprised on how much easier exercise gets throughout life, and how physically fit they become. If you require each student in (insert school name here) to do an exercise routine, you could lower the rate of obesity in (insert state here). Think about how many students get taught here in (insert school name here) every year! Imagine how many people could benefit from your physical fitness tests. Did you know that teens are more likely to do more exercise at home when they are required to do exercise at school? Think about how much of an impact you would be making on these students.
Another huge reason these physical fitness tests are a good idea is because teens tend to become very moody and angry, exercise is a healthy way to get their aggression out and cool down. Not only is it a great way to get their aggression out and cool down, but also a great way for them to have fun with their friends and stay out of trouble. For example, did you know teens are using drugs nowadays? Would you rather see students exercising and having a good time or using some rotten drugs?
The final reason these physical fitness tests are a good idea is because it is a great way for parents to save money. If you think that sounds crazy, think about it. How many bills do you think parents pay when their teen decides to stay at home watching television and eating potato chips? The television bill would go way up and so would the food bill. If the students decide to go outside and exercise, parents could easily savor money and spend it on things that could benefit the school. For example, with all that extra money, parents might be able to give a donation to the school or buy school supplies for their teen.
If you care about your students’ health, you will require each student to take a physical fitness test. You will be impacting students lives today, and their future lives as well. Remember, obesity affects their health very much. It can harm joints, breathing, heart, and more. Would you rather have students playing in the field or have them on the couch eating potato chips and watching some l horrible television show? The students’ health for their three years at (insert school name here) is up to you.

The significance of the title “Our Town” has many reasons into it. Everyone is connected to everyone else like a big family. Since Grover’s Corner is a small town and a result of that is everyone is acquainted with one another and knows each other very well. Almost everything that happens on one side of Grover’s Corner is known on the other side. Everything is important like how to opening scene was with two twins being born.
To the world’s view Grover’s Corner is just a town but to the people of the town it is their whole world. Rebecca received a letter with a long address saying “the United States of America; Continent of North America; Western Hemisphere; the Earth; the Solar System; the Universe; the Mind of God”. Everyone in the town talks to one another and interacts with each other. To Emily this little town is her whole life. Every time Howie Newsome comes with his milk everyone greets him. Everyone goes well in the town and everything is peaceful.
When Emily is with the other dead as spirits she finds out that she can go back to the living. The Stage Manager explains that you not only go back, but you watch yourself living it. All the dead people advise Emily not to go but she demands it. The Stage Manager takes her back to her twelfth birthday. She watches her with her family being happily when she finally realizes and they would never be happy again. Her brother Wally died from his appendix breaking. She can now see why the other dead told her not to go. It was too heart breaking to see something so real taken away from you.
When Emily returns from her twelfth birthday, she gives an oration. Emily gives a speech saying “Good-by, Good-by, world. Good-by, Grover’s Corners? Mama and Papa. Good-bye to clocks ticking? And Mama’s sunflowers. And food and coffee. And new-ironed dresses and hot baths. Sleeping and waking up. Oh, earth, you’re too wonderful for anybody to realize you”. She asked the stage manager “Does anyone realizes life while they live it?” but the Stage Manager says that maybe saints and poets. She realizes that you could not know how to appreciate the life you are given until it is too late.
This play is different from most traditional plays because of many reasons. In this play there is little scenery, no set, and very little props. They would use chairs and ladders to resemble furniture. There is not as much scenery so the audience must use as much imagination as they can. When it was winter in the play, Thornton Wilder, used lighting to show the season. In most plays, there is no stage manager but it “Our Town” the Stage Manager plays two characters. In this play more than one scene is happening at the same time because in a part of the play the Webbs are having dinner at the same time as the Gibbs family. Some of the characters from the play are planted into the audience. The Stage Manager narrated the story and explained the story line.

lose inches in a limited time?

Ive been watching shows like bulging brides and the last ten pounds and the biggest loser and i cant understand how they lose that much weight and inches in1-2 weeks. Like at the weigh in when they measure and stuff it shows that they lost like inches off the waist and like 8 pounds.I understand that they have ALOT of equipment and trainers to help teach them and make them lose weight, But for someone like me who doesn’t have that what can i do?. my main struggle is my love handles that for some reason NEVER go away. I’m not even fat its just all the food i eat goes there and my stomachs flat and u can see some of my abs. At home i have a treadmill that i run on for about 30 minutes everyday at high incline and high speed and i sweat alot and my heart rate gets very high but for some reason i cant lose the love handles. Can anybody give me exercises that i can do at home to help them go away. I don’t have weights or anything but i do have like a jump rope treadmill and thats basically it.

Dont tell me NOTHING about diets and stuff cause i dont eat anything not healthy and i think i made it clear when i sed my stomachs flat an i have abs.

Please help me i feel like i have no shape because my love handles make my body look retarded.

Smelling salts v. crack?

Just watched Lucic and Thornton getting pumped on smelling salts before tonight’s game.
Having read about its ingredients and possible side-effects, why haven’t pre sports’ leagues getting involved?
Anything that can raise a heart rate before physical activity can’t be a good thing.

How to fart

So you don’t know how to fart,
And you’ve tried and tried with all of your heart.
Well listen up I’ll give you a start.
This is part 1 of how to fart

Sprouts and beans are now your friend,
To help gas come out of your other end,
Soon you will be on the mend,
To hjaving methane coming out of your rear end.

Now think about that putrid gas,
That should enventually come out of your….bottom!
Try hold it in when your in maths,
This isn’t "How to poison your class."

Then you squeeze with all your might.
Not to soft or hard make sure the pressure is right
Then once you are out of sight,
Try and set your farts alight.

Remember to watch when your in town.
Smiley faces turning upside down,
People wrinkling their noses around,
Once they here the trumpets sound.

People start running in their despair
Tel them,"There’s no point in hiding there."
People try hiding under tables and chairs,
Just sit there farting without a care.

Once the farts just keep comin’

I don’t know what to do. I am not eating more nor am I doing less than usual. I am eating less and gaining weight at an alarming rate. I am not pregnant. I am not unhappy with my weight at the moment, yet. I don’t feel that I need to be super thin. I am just concerned for my future because I am expanding as you read this! over the last two years, I have gained a bizarre amount. I am hungry and tied of watching people eat. In the past, if I wanted to lose weight I could with cutting back on food and adding a bit of exercises. Now, I just gain a bit more slowly if I do that. I’m not mad. I’ve spent weekends with friends and family, all of whom are shocked by how little I eat. None of my clothing fits anymore. When this started, I was 125lbs, but, at this rate, I’ll be 350lbs in 5 years. I’m a youngish woman and mother and not really in an age group usually associated with a massive metabolic shift. I have enough energy and I feel healthy usually aside from fluid retention (edema) in my feet ankles and abdomen. For anyone medical. My T3 and T4 levels are just fine. The only thing that doesn’t seem fine is the edema, raised blood pressure, lowered heart rate, a bit of (very rare) dizziness and my ecg shows P mitral. This tells me that I may have a heartproblemb. I know that weight can cause heartproblemss, but,can heart problems incur fat? My doctor told me that my BP was borderline and didn’t treat it. He observed that the edema in my ankles was +2 and said that it was odd ,but, that was it. His office lost my ecg results. He told me I need to eat less when I asked what to do. So I ate 1 grapefruit and 1 cup of tea for breakfast, a tuna sandwich with light mayo for lunch and a green salad with balsamic vinegar and a diet soda for dinner every day for nearly three weeks. I did not loose a pound. I’m trying really hard, but, I’m looking lazy. I don’t want to see a new doctor because I figure that another doctor will just think I’m deluding myself and that I’m actually eating more than I think. I wonder if there is anything I can do. I thank anyone who has read this for their time. No silly comments please. Thanks

Will this work?

Watching your food portions but still eating what you love. In my case whatever my mom cooks. And quiting the diet soda and drinking only water? Exercising a little. Maybe 4 days a week playing ddr on standard for an hour. It gets my heart rate up.

Will that help me lose weight slowly?
